Opened on the 23rd of February 2009, the new Chatswood to Epping Rail Link connects Chatswood to Epping via twin underground rail tunnels. There are three new stations at Macquarie University, Macquarie Park and North Ryde, all within 10 minutes of Quest North Ryde by car.
When fully integrated into the CityRail network in the second half of 2009, the new Chatswood Epping link will allow the introduction of one new morning peak and two new afternoon peak services on the Western Line.
